2020-2021 Updates

  • Featured in CNA TV documentary “Midnight Story”: Singapore of his "Light Paintography in April 2021 by Beach House Pictures, the award-winning Singapore-based production house.

  • In March 2021, He won another nominee award at the 14th Annual International Color Awards of the Portrait category among 6109 entries from 73 countries. To date, that makes the 11th such accolade.

  • By the kind invitation of the Salvation Army Singapore. Charlie will be moving to set up operations at their Branch. There will be multi-faceted components at Charlie’s new location:

1) Seed Carving Museum (First in the world)
2) Heritage Museum
3) Photo Gallery
4) Design and photography studio
5) Creative Resource Centre (for all kinds of design and
productions)

  • Charlie has won another nominee award at the 13th Annual International Color Awards of Pre-Wedding category among 6093 entries from 73 countries.

  • By this year, he will be collaborating with SEO Craft India in Kolkata at their invitation, as their mentor, judge, and to be involved in the opening of their art and photography school in various cities and provinces. Further, he will help as a consultant with servicing their large clients in artistic portraiture and higher value photography events. Also on the table, is to work on the franchise model of school to teach young people photography techniques. The covid-19 situation permitting, Charlie will be required to travel frequently to India to fulfill the above plans.

  • Just a month ago, the CEO of Singapore Science Centre, Prof Lim Tit Meng is making available for space in their New Building for Charlie to display his Photography and Artwork. They also request for Charlie to take under his wings to be a licensed student.

  • Invited to be featured on NY-ArtNews.com on 4 Feb 2022.

  • Invited to a group exhibition titled: Continuity: Modern and Contemporary Masters’ in Manhattan in July 2022. Together with Paldo Picasso, Hentri Matisse, and Joan Miro. To be organized by Artifact. NYC.

  • Invited to exhibit in Tokyo International Art Fair on 05 – 06 June 2020 at Bellesalle Roppongi. As one of the ten artists, organized by World Wide Art Promotion, Inc. California, USA.

  • Invited by Apple Singapore to have a live demonstration event (2 hours session) at their Orchard Flagship Store in August 2020.

2019 Updates

  • Invited to be featured as Artist of the Decade in ArtTour International Magazine, New York.

  • Charlie was selected to showcase his works in the Annual Bold Book SG53 by SG100 Foundation under B.O.L.D. Artist. Presented by DPM Heng Swee Kiat on 22 Mar, 2019

  • Won another nominee award at the 12th Annual International Color Awards of the Portrait category among 7,241 entries from 79 countries in Feb 2019.

  • Live Telecast on CNA(ChannelNewsAsia) - TV program Money Mind about his “Light Paintography” and Wall Design on 27 Apr, 2019.

  • Demonstrate “Light-Paintography” to 22 teachers, Vice Principles and staffs from the Presbyterian High School on 6 Sep, 2019.

  • Second invitation by TianMu Square in Taichung (Taiwan) to promote his work on 6 Nov, 2019.

  • Selected and had submitted his works to Shanghai International ArtFair 2019 ex- hibition on 21 to 24 Nov, 2019.

  • Invited by NUSPS (Photographic Society of the National University of Singapore) to hold a workshop for their 50th Anniversary on 6 Dec, 2019.

  • Invited and participated in London International Creative Compétition managed by International Awards Inc. on Nov 2019.

  • Selected and attended at The Artivist Award of the Year 2019, in 13 Dec, organised by the ATIM Arttour International Magazine in New York.
